Dashing Hounds of Hertfordshire, established in October 2022, is led by Jade, a dedicated professional with a wealth of experience in the dog industry.
With a background in doggy daycare and grooming, Jade holds Level 2 City & Guilds and Level 3 certifications. Her passion for animals extends globally, having supported wildlife causes in Australia.
Dashing Hounds is born out of this passion, committed to providing the best care for your dogs.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. One-to-One Grooming Approach:
We prioritise a personalised grooming experience, attending to one dog at a time. Our strict no mixing dog policy ensures a calm and focused environment.
2. Secure Waiting Spaces:
Your dog will have access to three secure pens, not crates, postgrooming, ensuring a safe and stress-free wait.
3. Client Responsibilities:
For first-time clients, allocate 10 minutes during drop-off to provide essential details and grooming preferences. Please enter the salon directly, respecting the privacy of the surrounding land.
4. Duration of Grooming:
Kindly leave your dog with us for the entire grooming process. This allows us to build trust, provide undivided attention, and ensure your dog's comfort throughout.
5. Flea & Tick Policy:
Our grooming parlour maintains a tick/flea-free environment. If your dog is known to have parasites, reschedule the grooming appointment. Any flea or tick discovery during grooming incurs an additional £15 fee.
6. Coat Condition:
We prioritise humanity over vanity and may recommend coat removal if neglected. We'll assess and communicate this, striving to contact you beforehand. We adhere to the Animal Welfare Act of 2006.
7. Payment:
Grooming fees are due on collection, payable via bank transfer or cash.

8. Cancellation Policy:
In order to provide the best service to all our clients, we kindly request a minimum of 24 hours' notice for any appointment cancellations. Failure to provide adequate notice will result in a 50% cancellation fee based on the groom price. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
9. Handling and behaviour
Clients must disclose and behavioural concerns before the groom. Dogs that do have behaviouralissues may require a longer appointment.
